Churchill 9 Hole
The new 9 hole, Par3 Churchill course at Westerham is the result of a 7 year project which began in 2009.
Designed with beginners in mind, this new course will be the focus for The Altonwood Group’s tuition centre, providing a first class venue at which juniors and adults alike can learn and develop their skills before progressing to a full-size course.
Following extensive re-development of the site, the course has been constructed to include wild ‘rough’ areas, bunkers and a lake, all of which lend a degree of difficulty which will test golfers of all standards.
Together with Westerham’s already extensive short game practice area, driving range and indoor tuition centre, the Churchill 9 provides the ultimate facility for beginners to build their confidence and hone their skills on the course.
Involving Altonwood’s team of PGA Qualified Professionals alongside major golf organisations, including England Golf, an extensive tuition programmes has been developed to target new golfers and encourage people to take up Golf – particularly Juniors and Ladies – including a detailed programme for schools, which meets the needs of the National Curriculum.

Golf Professionals
George and Megan run the Westerham Junior Golf Academy, designed to help junior golfers take their first steps into the world of golf. The academy introduces and develops the key fundamentals of the game in a fun and educational environment.
Westerham Golf Club is committed to developing the skills of junior golfers and The Golf Academy therefore operates regular weekend classes and school holiday ‘camps’, which are very popular for children aged 5 to 16 years of age.
In addition to these group classes, individual coaching is available for junior golfers.
Megan Roberts

Megan started playing her Golf at Sundridge Park, where she has been a member for 13 years, playing for the juniors, Ladies and Mixed Competitions. Through her golfing journey she has played for Kent Girls Golf, winning the Alresford Cup twice and Lohan Trophy in 2018.
In 2019, Megan started her PGA degree and held many junior classes at Tonbridge where she taught all ages and abilities, including hosting schools and her own Girls Golf group, encouraging everyone to start playing! Along with individual lessons, to help juniors and adults improve their golf.
She is keen to pass on her knowledge and help others to achieve their goals, and ultimately enjoy the game of Golf!

George Parker
PGA Professional
George started playing golf at the age of 10 at his local 9 hole course. He then became a member at Nizels where he won many competitions and represented the club in regional events.
His later journey took him to Addington Palace where he won the Club Championship and managed to drop his handicap from 7 to 0 in a matter of months, which then gave him inspiration to take his PGA degree.
From this point George has now been coaching since 2019 with Megan down at Tonbridge – coaching juniors, schools, and individuals of all ages and abilities.
He plans to help deliver a thriving academy with Megan at Westerham and will be offering, group coaching, junior coaching and individual lessons!
